Farsley Celtic will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the Evo-Stik Premier Division season as they travel to Halesowen Town tomorrow.
Farsley have made a solid start to life in their new division, taking four points from their first two games. On Saturday The Celts put in a superb performance to defeat Coalville Town 3-1 with a James Walshaw brace and a Nathan Cartman strike helping Farsley recover from a goal down. On Tuesday Farsley travelled to Ashton and drew 1-1 with a Walshaw penalty levelling the score, however the visitors were left hanging on as Ashton hit the crossbar twice in the final minute. Ryan Watson and Jordan Deacey will be pushing for a return to the side on Saturday, however captain Danny Ellis limped off with a calf problem on Tuesday so will be a doubt, whilst Nathan Turner remains sidelined.
Halesowen Town have had a mixed start to the new campaign, taking three points from their opening two games. The Yeltz began with a 3-1 defeat away to Workington, before they bounced back to defeat Barwell 1-0, as Luke Shearer scored a dramatic injury time winner. Halesowen had a difficult campaign last season as they finished in 19th, just five points above the relegation zone.
The match takes place on Saturday at The Grove, postcode B63 3TB. Admission prices are £10 adults, £7 concessions and £3 U16s, with kick-off at 3pm. If you can't make the game there will be full updates on Twitter with @FarsleyCelticFC.
DIRECTIONS:
By Car: Get to Junction 3 of the M5. Head towards Kidderminster on the A458 for a mile or so to the first traffic island at the bottom of the hill. Turn right on to the A459 towards Dudley (the cricket ground should now be on your left) and continue past where the road splits to the next island. Turn left here on to the A456 towards Stourbridge until you get to the next island. Take the 3rd exit (Old Hawne Lane) and the ground is about 400 yards away, at the top of the hill on the left.
By Train: The easiest way is to get to Birmingham New Street, and then get a number 9 bus to Halesowen that will drop you off outside the ground on the Stourbridge Road. You can also get a train to Old Hill/Cradley Heath and take a taxi to the ground which will take around 5 minutes.
By Bus: The number 9 comes from both Stourbridge and Birmingham/Halesowen directions which will drop you off outside the ground on the Stourbridge Road. The 9's run every 6 minutes or so in the day.
