With dry weather having set in over the last week conditions in Keswick will have improved and the thought now lies on whether frost will bite hard - although looking at the weather forecast sunshine should be enough to keep the pitches playable for this weekends exciting encounter between Keswick and Trafford MV.
Both sides have a run of good form going with Keswick consolidating 2nd place in the League behind Aspatria and ahead of De La Salle whilst MV have recovered from a sticky start to the season, which saw 4 defeats, to secure 7 straight wins which has seen them climb the table to 5th position ahead of Wigton and just a point behind Oldham.
Last weekends thrilling 34-29 win over Fleetwood showed MV's determination to see a game through however it did carry a cost as speedy winger James Matthie suffered a niggling shoulder injury that will see him ruled out until the New Year. Back into contention comes Conner Coogan who stepped up from the Senior Colts last season.
Home advantage lies with Keswick however MV are confident of giving their travelling supporters something to shout for as they continue to make their mark at this level of League Rugby.
With confidence riding high MV are looking forward to their visit to Davidson Park, Crow Park Road, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 5EG
MV's 2nd XV travel to Ormskirk whilst the 3rd XV make the short hop to Broughton Park
Enjoy your weekends Rugby everyone
