MV travel to Heaton Moor to fight off the challenge of Heaton Moor for their newly won number 1 spot
MV moved to the top of the ADM Lancashire Premier League last weekend after a thrilling game against West Park in which MV were the eventual winners 48-39. This weekend they face an immediate challenge from not too distant rivals Heaton Moor from Stockport who moved into 2nd place and contenders for leadership.
With the absence of Luke Cox, departing for University, MV bring back former captain Mike Boyle into the back row to add bulk and guile to the pack. Defending an unbeaten run MV are in confident mood and will be looking to play an expansive pressure game. Conditions are expected to be very good and MV are calling on their supporters to get behind the team at Heaton Moors ground

With each of MV's teams sitting in top 4 positions this is a good start to the season for MV and the Club is looking to build on this form by attracting players who want to play regular rugby for a well organised, progressive local club which is very close to various key transport routes including motorway, Metrolink (Dane Road) and bus routes.

On Sunday we have mini / junior / teenage Rugby at Trafford MV as the fields are full of youngsters from 4-17 years of age enjoying the sport in a safe, friendly, family environment. Trafford MV has been established for many years now and has a great record of progressing young players through to Rugby at high levels of performance. MV are particularly keen for teenage rugby players to come and try the clubs facilities - Trafford Borough has a number of very good rugby schools plus a good number of schools which are developing their rugby experience.
