Both Sheffield and the Brewers will be looking to bounce back from disappointing opening day defeats to Marske and Carlton respectively.

Sheffield are known as the World’s First Football Club, suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat not helped by the sending off of captain Gascoigne at the start of the second half. This was a difficult looking fixture to kick start the new campaign with newly promoted Marske well-supported and full of confidence from last season whereas Albion were massively fancied at home against last year’s strugglers Carlton Town.

Assistant Manager Simon Collins vented post-match that it was a ‘laboured performance’ from his squad and will no doubt be looking for a much improved reaction this evening.

Team News: Goalkeeper Michael Ingham returns along with Chris Howarth. Joe Lumsden, Josh Barrett and Corey Roper all likely to be recalled into the starting line-up. Paddy Miller still sidelined with a calf injury.
