City‘s current form is getting back on track after a couple of defeats recently. They had fallen out of the play off places, but are right back in the hunt with a number of impressive victories. Ryan Sharman will be the dangerman, he is currently the club’s (and the league’s) top scorer.

Kempston will head into this fixture off the back of a decent run of form, in spite of the weather’s best efforts in March. Superb victories against Bedford and away at Egham, married with a battling point against Fleet have seen Rovers keep pace with the play off picture ahead of a tricky few games.

The Reverse fixture was meant to be played on New Year’s Day, but a sudden deluge resulted in postponement for two weeks. City showed their class to run out four nil winners on the night at Hillgrounds.

This fixture will be the last time we will have to travel to St. Ives to face Cambridge City as the club have agreed a ground-share with Histon for next season as they prepare to move into their own ground. The decision to return to playing home games at Bridge Road for next season has been taken to 'rebuild links with the local Cambridge community.'

Supporters have been recommended a pub ten minutes walk from the ground, called The Seven Wives, they promise that they have good beer.

Basic directions;
Head toward Cambridge on the A421, then take the A1 north at the Black Cat roundabout. Take the first exit after this from the A1 toward Cambridge. Follow signs at the roundabouts for A428 Cambridge. When on the A428, take the turning on the left for the B1040 to St. Ives. When you come to a roundabout, you will need to take the first exit, marked for Godmanchester and Huntingdon, the A1198. At the next roundabout, go straight ahead, second exit to the next leg of the B1040. You will go through the village of Hilton and then need to cross over the A14, which is signed St Ives A1096 on the roundabouts. Continue on the A1096, crossing the River Great Ouse – yes, the one at the back of our ground, no you cannot take a canoe to this game! As you approach St Ives, follow the signs for Town Centre, first exit on the roundabout after Waitrose. You then have to turn left into a one way system, take the first right turn into Oliver Road. At the end of Oliver Road, turn right, then immediately left on to East Street. Take the right hand turn before the car park, which is Globe Place, turn left into North Street and go around the back of the car park. Turn right at the T junction at the end of North Street and then the first left is Westwood Road. Westwood Road itself is quite long and windy, but the football club is at the end. The large car park is for the leisure centre, but can be used for football parking.
