This week the Cherry & Whites face a tough trip to league leaders Dings Crusaders who will be overwhelming favourites having won all 8 matches in a great start.
Last season 'Town' won at Locklease as we started life in National 3 with 8 straight victories of our own. So far this season the team has been hampered with a number of long term injury issues to key players especially in th second row, which has left us with just four wins in the opening 8 games.
Team News;
Debut for Higgins and player returns for 'Town'
Camborne give a debut in the centre to their latest recruit Adam Higgins who's impressed in training this week. The centre/wing has played 5 times for National 2 Redruth this season and will be a good additionto the team.
There's also a return for Kieran Westlake after his appearing for the Cornish Pirates in the B&I Cup, he starts in the second row. Former Cornwall flanker James Goldsworthy is another player who returns, replacing the suspended Phil Hinchley.
In the backs Harvey Bell and Jake Champion are back for the Cherry & Whites coming in at 9 and 10 for Taron Peacock and David Mankee who have work commitments. There's a starting debut for Tiaan Clarke on the wing with forwards Luke Barnes1` and Liam Barkwill making their senior debut on the bench.
More positive news on the injury front; Player coach Damien Cook will return to training next week and should be fit to play around mid December. Fellow lock forward Ben Kemp should also be back playing for the Cherry & Whites by the end of December.
