After knocking off rivals Cottesloe last week, Associates will continue their home stand against a talented yet unpredictable ARKs outfit.
Associates flexed their muscles last weekend accounting for Cottesloe with ease in the Battle of Broome Street. The ladder leaders will field a quality outfit again this weekend, with Western Force skipper Ian Prior starting at flyhalf, Samoan squad member Rodney at inside-centre while 2017 PG Hampshire winner Brendan Owen moves to fullback after a man of the match performance on the wing in his return to the Fortescue Premier Grade last week.
So far ARKs season is a story of what could have been, after a narrow loss again last week the men in red and white sit 11th on the table but have four losing bonus points to their name after four losses by seven points or less. It is time to start turning those close losses in wins and what better way to start than by knocking off the ladder leaders with the RugbyWA Cup in play. With the addition of Force brothers Harrison and Cameron Orr, ARKs’ forward pack will prove a challenge for Soaks up front. If ARKs can control possession and limit turnovers they have shown that they are more than capable of scoring some nice tries.
