Match Preview

Consett will look to bounce back from a tough defeat away to Durham City last week. Changes to the team see Lewis Mcqueen returning to start in the front row alongside Captain Sadler and Graison Dale, Connor Petch is front row replacement. A severe injury to John Rowbotham sees him unavailable for the foreseeable future so Richard Tetley replaces him in the second row. Changes in the back row include Christy Wood who put in some impressive early season displays called up for injured Bradley Sotheran and Stew Grazier replacing Gareth Henderson who is on the replacements bench.

The backs make one change to the starting line up from last week which sees Dan Smith make his 1st XV debut after some exciting performances for the U18s this season he will partner Haydn Petch in the centres. The rest of the backs remain unchanged and Sam Gordon is backs replacement.

Consett against Rovers is always an entertaining fixture especially with the ex-Friarageman Stew Grazier now playing in black and yellow, there’s always fireworks…… or drop goals.
