Dulwich Hamlet FC is proud to be one of most inclusive football clubs in the country.

Today is Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces Day 2020, as part of their annual campaign to make sport more inclusive. The campaign celebrates the positive impact that sport has on LGBTQ+ people, and LGBTQ+ people have on sport.

This week both the men’s and women’s team have shown their support of Stonewall’s campaign including men’s captain, Michael Timlin, wearing the rainbow armband during the game against Eastbourne last night.

The women's team were due to do the same, as well as wearing rainbow laces, for their now postponed fixture this upcoming Sunday.

Today seems like to perfect day to reaffirm our message to all our fans and those that follow us:

Everyone is welcome at Champion Hill – we are a club for all.

This isn’t just a message for today but something that is embedded in the ethos of our club including the very words above adorning the walls of our clubhouse.

As a club, we have a proud history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community as part of our wider ethos that everyone is welcome at Champion Hill.

Over last few years, driven by our Supporter’s Trust, Dulwich Hamlet has taken part and supported a range campaigns that promotes the message that football is a sport for all.

Already this season, we have supported The Albert Kennedy Trust as part of the The Football Pride Festival. This was an initiative of the Football v Homophobia Campaign, who DHST and Dulwich Hamlet have been supporters of for many years.

The club and trust are also planning a range of initiatives and events to coincide with LGBT+ history month which is scheduled for next year.
