Medway Dragons Volunteers are continuing to work away in planning the 2021 Dragons Awards and consulting widely to ensure that we recognise and reward everybody for an unbelievable contribution in 2021 and identify special efforts and achievements.

As well as the traditional awards for each team, The Dragons Man of Steel will be awarded to the person, male or female, from any of The Dragons Teams which will epitomise what we stand for and our values.

In addition, for the second time;

Medway Dragons Dream Team

Launched in 2020, open to all players where positional play is a part of the game, at all ages and all variants of the game.

2021 was a great success, emerging from a Global Pandemic, getting all of our teams back on the field and relaunching Wheelchair RL

We trained and prepared as never before, giving the Coaches an opportunity to observe players, assess their desire to learn and improve, how much effort they put in, how much they are prepared to help others and the way in which they contribute to our Club.

The improvement across all teams was very apparent

The mantle of Best and fairest is a good descriptor and we will be selecting 17 players in the traditional 1-17 positions and recognising our Coaches

The Players will be grouped into areas on the field and will be eligible for more than on just one position

The players recognised will need to display the attributes needed to be a great player in that position, what they bring to the team, the impact on the opposition and how they represent our club at all times
