This season St Ambrose College in Altrincham has a record number of young rugby players earning county caps. With several pupils currently members of Altrincham Kersal RFC, both Lancashire and Cheshire have come knocking at the Catholic Grammar School for emerging talent with five under-13s earning their call-ups and another seven at under-15 level......
Altrincham Preparatory School won a classic North South clash beating City of London Freemen’s School in both A and B fixtures at Stelfox Avenue. The top London school brought two teams North to play three fixtures over a long weekend, but found the talented APS team far too strong. The APS A team won 30 - 15, while the B Team won 30 - 10. APS’s Head of Sport Nigel Birch said.....
