AK Legends Day Fundraiser for Georgie's Gift - Ronald MacDonald Hosue

Altrincham Kersal hosted the AK Legends vs AK 1st XV on a day to help raise funds for Ronald Macdonald House as part of Georgie's Gift. Georgie was the 13-month-old little girl who sadly lost her battle with congenital heart disease after it was diagnosed during pregnancy. Georgie's dad, Steven Richardson, had been a part of Altrincham Kersal RFC for around a decade, during his time at the club he held captain positions of all three senior teams and is a firm member of the family at Stelfox Avenue. So it seemed natural to host a charity day to try to raise funds for the place that looked after Steve & Becca's little girl. The event saw players from recent and distant years take to the field in a spectacle game that was accompanied by an array of raffle and auction prizes. The day was a great success and saw lots of money raised for the charity.
