The Eagles face North Leigh in a massive game at the Eyrie that could see Bedford Town become champions if Biggleswade Town lose. Regardless of the scoreline, Bedford are guaranteed playoffs.
Last time out, Bedford beat Leighton Town 0-2 at Bell Close in a convincing victory. Leon Lobjoit and Kyle Connolly got the goals against their former club to get the three points.
Prior to this, the Eagles thrashed Welwyn Garden City 5-1 at the Eyrie. A Leon Lobjoit hat-trick as well as goals from Kyle Connolly and Liam Dulson got the job done.
That win was a great follow-up of another sensational win, this time a 7-0 victory over Hertford Town. Leon Lobjoit scored two as Liam Dulson, Kyle Connolly, Ryan Blake, Carl Mensah, and Jemale McKenzie-Lowe all chipped in with goals.
Biggleswade Town are currently on sixty-nine points and Bedford are on sixty-six points but have a superior goal difference. If Biggleswade Town lose at home to Ware and Bedford win against North Leigh, Bedford will go up as champions. Any other scenario sees Biggleswade Town win the league.
North Leigh had an excellent start to the season but have fallen off massively in recent weeks. They currently sit fourteenth in the league.
Last time out against the Eagles, Bedford beat the Millers 1-4 away from home. Despite this, North Leigh will want to end their season on a high.
Try to get down to the Eyrie to support Lee Bircham’s side in this crucial match!
