It’s a massive game in Oxfordshire as the Eagles face fellow title rivals North Leigh at Eynsham Hall Park. Bedford will be looking to respond to Saturday’s disappointing defeat against Aylesbury United with a result here.
Last Saturday, the Eagles suffered a 1-2 home defeat to ten-man Aylesbury United. Kennedy Feyi put the Ducks ahead, but Carl Mensah equalised. Brayden Daniel scored the winner late on for the away side.
Prior to this, Bedford beat Kings Langley 1-3 at the Orbital Fasteners Stadium in a really important win for the Eagles. Shane Bush, Lynton Goss and Leon Lobjoit were all on the scoresheet for the Eagles.
The Eagles also suffered a defeat on New Years Day as Biggleswade Town left the Eyrie with all three points. A tight match resulted in the Waders stealing the win late on as they won the match 2-3.
Bedford have had many games postponed lately mainly due to weather. Only three games have gone ahead for the Eagles in January so far, resulting in a hectic February schedule.
North Leigh have had a strong season so far and have established themselves in the title race. The Millers currently sit top of the table, two points ahead of Bedford having played two more games than the Eagles.
So far this season, North Leigh have played twenty-one, won fourteen, drawn one and lost six. Most recently, the Millers left Herns Way with a 1-3 win over Welwyn Garden City.
Try to make your way to North Leigh for this one! Lee Bircham’s side would love as much support as possible!
