3. Award Winners


The recognition scheme was launched in September 2017. Nominations are being taken all the time and since its launch we have awarded the following trophies:

October 2017 recipient was Rich Philips for all his hard work behind the scenes preparing the kit and changing rooms for the senior sections. His pitch side support and continued dedication to the 1st XV every Saturday, encouraging the youth supporters to be involved. Rich displays real team work and respect.

November 2017 recipient was Matthew Stephens for his tireless and brilliant social media antics. He promotes events via our social media outlets and is always quick on the twitter account maintain the interests of our existing followers and engaging new ones. Core values displayed include teamwork and enjoyment.

December 2017 recipient was Andy Spyer. When it comes to DIY and odd jobs nothing is too much trouble for Andy. He supported the NatWest Rugby force weekend and is always in communication with ideas and suggestions for areas we can improve. He was massive help to Lesley and the clubhouse when the catering came in house cleaning and tidying. Core values displayed are teamwork & respect.

January 2018 recipient was Kev Thornton. Kev has been coaching in the minis since U9s, last year he stepped up to take on he team manager role along side coaching in the U12s. With nearly 40 children and their parents to contend with this is no small undertaking. Kev continues to display all the core values; team work, respect, discipline, enjoyment and sportsmanship.

February 2018 recipient was Michelle Pratt. Over the last 4 years she has transformed the administration of the girls section. She is the figure head for fundraising, organising events and last years tour. This she despite her daughter moving on after turning 18 she remains in post and is organising another tour. Core values shown are Team work, respect and enjoyment
