Emphatic victory for Fawley's 1st XV
This Saturday's game at Lymington's ground resulted in an emphatic victory for Fawley's 1st XV. Fawley were first to open the scoring early on with a penalty successfully executed by Ben Wild just in front of the Lymington posts, the start of a great kicking game from Ben, 3-0.
Fawley's first try came from Joe Jordan with a successful conversion from Ben, 10-0.
Chris Soards was next to score with Ben converting 17-0.
Joe Jordan added another to his tally next to bring the score to 22-0.
A great charge from Joe put Oli in position for a try with a huge turn of speed, with Ben converting 29-0.
Chris increased Fawley's lead with a great speculative run from a clever kick from Ben, 34-0.
Lymington fought back with a well deserved try frustrating the Fawley defence with a great conversion 34-7.
Fawley's Mike Kitcher executed a beautifully timed kick which Ben ran onto, scooping up the ball just before the line to bring the score to 39-0.
Captain Dave Johnson finished off Fawley's try total with a great charge across the line, final Score 44-7. A final score which probably didn't reflect the run of the game, but on the day Fawley put in a good days work.
