5. Colin Tacon

(presented by James Hook)

Colin has played for the Warriors since the 1st game of their 1st full season in 1997/98. Initially starting on the wing (and earning the nick name Colin Campese), he later moved to prop where he continues to play. A figurehead for the Warriors and mixed ability rugby generally, Colin Captained the Warriors in their 10th Anniversary season (2004/05) and was the 3rd Warrior to make 200 appearances (against Swansea Vikings) in 2016/17.
He was named the club’s 1st ever Sportsman of the year in 1998, has twice won Most Improved Player (2001, 2004) and twice won Players’ Player (2011, 2017). He was selected for the Mixed Ability Rugby Invitational side in 2023, playing against Iruna RFC in Spain.

Colin’s continual positive attitude and enthusiasm have made him a club icon, now often referred to as “King Colin”. The club hopes to celebrate Colin making his 300th appearance in the not too distant future.
