Ossett Albion Juniors are looking for a willing volunteer to take on the role of Club Welfare Officer (CWO)....

The FA wants every young footballer to have a positive experience while playing football.

Ossett Albion JFC is committed to this aim.

As Club Welfare Officer (CWO) you have the chance to make a significant contribution to creating positive change. You will have the chance to become involved with, and be supported by, the West Riding County FA Welfare Officer.

The role requires you to work towards promoting the Safeguarding of all members of the junior age groups and ensuring that Ossett Albion JFC operates within the recommendations of the FA’s Respect Campaign. You will be involved in the processing of CRBs for those who require them within our junior club.

You will receive specific training from the County FA regarding the role and will have the opportunity to work alongside the current CWO during the next season to broaden your experience of child protection issues. You will become a member of Ossett Albion JFC Committee and help improve the function of the junior section.

The safety of our young footballers is everyone’s responsibility. As CWO you will have the chance to get that vital message across to all those involved in football at Ossett Albion Juniors.

The club’s current CWO (Gordon Allatt) will step down from this role at the end of next season (June 2013)and has kindly said that he will be available to mentor his replacement during his final season.

If you would like to volunteer or would like an informal chat about the role of CWO then please contact Gordon Allatt email: cwo.oajfc@sky.com or any other Ossett Albion JFC Committee Member.
