Albion lost 2 defenders to injury in the warm-up before the match.
Their reshuffled side competed well in the first half and the two sides went in on level terms at the interval.

The second half saw 2 Albion players dismissed for second bookable offences,
In between these two dismissals, Scarborough grabbed their goal when Adam Bolder beat Albion goalkeeper Jordan Bradshaw to a long ball to loop a header into the net.

With Albion reduced to 9 men they redoubled their efforts and were the better side for the last quarter of an hour and Scarborough were hanging on desperately.

In the dying moments Albion were awarded a penalty which was taken by Darren Thornton but he sent his kick high over the crossbar much to the relief of Scarborough.
