6. Volunteering

"Volunteers are not paid - not because they are worthless - but because they are priceless".

As a young club with ambitious plans for the future, we rely on volunteers in the local community to sustain and help us grow our club. If you are reading this page, you may be considering whether you can help. Our answer is simple - we are always looking for new volunteers - and we would really appreciate your help.

Just send an email to volunteers@ratoathrugby.ie to let us know you are interested. If you have any skills or experience that you think are relevant to running a club, or if you would like to help in any of the areas below, let us know. E.g.:

  • Coaching
  • Assisting coaches
  • Physiotherapy, sports massage, first-aid or sports injury qualifications
  • Administration
  • Grounds maintenance (grass-cutting, line-marking, etc...)
  • Electrical
  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing
  • Metal work or joinery
  • Fundraising
  • PR, Communications & Campaigns
  • Event Organization
  • Catering
  • Cleaning
  • Supplies
  • I.T.
  • Printing
  • Access to goods or services at a competitive price (please let us know what relevant goods or services you have access to)

All information we receive regarding volunteering will be maintained in strict confidence, and will not be generally available.

Your club needs your help to survive and grow. Please put your hand up and join our rugby family.

Yours in Rugby,
David Rowland
President 2018.
