A confident performance against basement club Stotherts, saw Saracens to a comfortable win and continue their rise up the table.
Despite enjoying early pressure, Stotherts could find no chink in Sarries defensive armour and the Bristol outfit ruthlessly punished Stotherts mistakes with two early converted breakaway tries. As their confidence grew, Sarries proceeded to dominate most phases of the game with their forwards doing all the basics expected of them well and the backs a constant threat throughout. When called upon, Sarries defence proved organised and resolute as opposed to their hosts who began to fall off tackles and Sarries overall excellent team performance resulted in a ten try rout with tries from Mike Wright (4), Ian Werrett (2), Lumpy Wilmott, Will Harding, Jimmy Burnford and Andy Sallabank with Jon Fox adding 5 conversions.
One positive for Stotherts was the good showing from young fly half Liam Burcombe who performed well throughout and scored the hosts points with a penalty and drop goal.

This was an entertaining local derby which produced three tries each for both teams but Oldfield secured the win by virtue of pressure converted into points and five out of five successful penalties from evergreen outside half Paul Tyrell.
Oldfield deservedly led 20-5 at the break but Stotherts responded well in the second half and only resolute home defence thwarted their efforts for a fourth bonus point try.
Stotherts points came from tries by Ross Grey, Joe Rodgers and Rob Rawlings with Rawlings adding 2 conversions.
