East London RFC will have the pleasure of hosting the Webb Ellis trophy on Sunday 6th September. The day will be used as part of our celebrating the opening of our upgraded facilities which now includes 3 floodlit pitches and a refurbished clubhouse.

Jason Leonard, Jeff Probyn, Thinus Delport, Maggie Alphonsi and a number of other rugby legends will be joining us along with the Webb Ellis trophy for the day.

To celebrate the day it is intended amongst other things to hold a veterans tournament. This will be 15 aside with 10 min each way pool games. There will also be a ladies 15 aside tournament in a similar format. Games will be played over 4 pitches and will start at about 12:30 with finals about 16:30 (dependant on number of teams).

In addition there will be a beer tent with real ales and Skamite The South East's premier ska, reggae and two-tone act an eight piece live band featuring music from Madness, UB40 , The Beat, The Specials, Bad Manners and many more will be live at the club.

There will be plenty of opportunities to have your picture with the World Cup and our special guests. The club is a 2 min walk from West Ham station so please leave the car and enjoy the day
