Chester-le-Street scored five to see off Willington, who scored twice in reply. Glen Hargrave gave them an early lead, with Ben Johnson making it 2-0. Reece Marshall pulled a goal back for Willington, but Scott Heslop and Leigh Guthrie made it 4-1. Liam Whitworth replied for Willington, but Guthrie made sure with a fifth. Chester-le-Street manager Colin Wake said; “We made hard work of it, and to be truthful 5-2 flatters us slightly. We started well going 2-0 up very quickly then sat back and struggled from then on until we scored the third midway through the second half. Good three points though.” Willington manager Rob Lee said; “Considering the number of players that we had missing, I thought we did really well.”. View News Item »
