    Willington thrashed Brandon 7-3 at Hall Lane, with six goals coming in the first half.. Willington went 2-0 up through Jason White after 26 seconds and Michael Gibson, on 12 minutes before Alan West 16 minutes and John Harrison 24 minutes hit back for Brandon. However, Liam Whitworth and Jason White scored twice more for Willington before half time. Willington keeper Jack Patton pulled off some good saves in the first half. Ryhope CW manager Gary Pearson said; “Sometimes you learn more about your players from a loss than a win, If you don’t match a team’s workrate you don’t deserve anything out of a game, and that’s why Willington thoroughly deserved all three points.
