O'Neill faces eight-match ban while Bugiel remains suspended as Rebels face Hastings in Sussex Senior Cup

Worthing host Hastings United in the Sussex Senior Cup third round on Tuesday in a week of cup excitement at the Photronix Stadium.

The Under-21s kicked-off a trio of cup ties by beating local rivals Burgess Hill Town 6-1 in the Sussex Intermediate Cup on Saturday.

And on Wednesday the youth team host U18 Premier League champions Middlesbrough in a historic FA Youth Cup third round clash.

But, sandwiched in the middle, the first team will be hoping to navigate their way through a potentially tough match against Ryman Division One South rivals Hastings United.

The Rebels, who beat Mile Oak 6-1 in the previous round, have already played the Arrows twice this season in the league.

In September Lloyd Dawes, Omar Bugiel and Callum Overton were on target as Worthing won 3-1 at the Pilot Field.

But the Rebels were beaten by the same score-line a month later in the return fixture at the Photronix Stadium as Will Hendon was sent-off.

Worthing will be hoping to avenge that defeat on Tuesday but they will have to do so without forward Omar Bugiel who serves the third game of a five-match suspension.

Also suspended is Brannon O’Neill who faces eight matches on the sidelines including a six-match ban for improper conduct and two for collecting his 10th booking of the season.

The Worthing midfielder will now be out for over a month with his current return date likely to be on Saturday 23rd January against Molesey.

In terms of injuries player-manager Gary Elphick is a doubt after picking up a knock however Lloyd Dawes is now fully fit.

Matt Hurley (knee) and Tony Nwachukwu (stomach) remain out while striker Ben Pope will be rested ahead of the youth team’s clash with Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

Kick-off for Tuesday’s match is at 7:45pm with admission costing £8.00 for adults, £6.00 for concessions and £3.00 for 12-16 year olds with under-12s going free.

Worthing possible squad from: Rikki Banks, Jack Fagan, Will Hendon, Matt Piper, Corey Heath, Gary Elphick, Steve Metcalf, Jordan Clark, Harvey Sparks, Matt Axell, Ryan Quirke, Ryan Richefond, Jack Barnes, Zack Newton, Callum Overton, Lloyd Dawes.
