RWB 2nds v Chippenham 2nds

Great commitment and well worth a loosing bonus point.

Chippenham senior section were devastated with player availabilities with the clash and half term holidays taking their toil. So with the 3rds conceding the remaining eight players, two D squad players combined with the six 2nd team players to form a Baa Baas team. It was going to be
a tough day with players playing up but Chippenham had a great warm up led by Ali Hunt and showed great commitment all game. Set piece went well all game with Johnson, Gingell and Newman fronting up, ably assisted Uni returning Liam Newton and Mike Wheeler who took the wrong turn on the way to the bar. RWB scored a brace of tries but Chippenham responded well with James Cook combining well with Nat Parkes to score and convert. Chippenham scrum was in great form putting pressure all game, from such a position James cook made a great break joined his centre partner with a great break and try. RWB were able to reply with another brace of tries exploiting the gap to the maximum. Liam Newton made a great break and from the resulting ball Louis Sibela scoring. RWB young backs were cutting a grove to score again. Rob fielder was his usual combative self and providing great ball to Tim Dunford. Nat Parkes took a few knocks in the first half but soldiered on.
Second half continued much in the same vain the Tingey boys were fronting up well in-front of their watching Dad slightly higher pace was the call than the 3rds correct. RWB scored again but their was arrogance in their play. Newman rallied his troops and D squad players Lewis Tilley & gorgeous George Brookes combining well but was thwarted by RWB covering tackle. Gingell was finding Newman and Sibela all game with well drilled line-out moves confusing Wheeler not difficult. RWB scored another brace of tries. Chippenham deserved to get some points out the game and battled hard in the last 10 minutes for Nat Parkes to score and convert - loosing bonus point well deserved.
