A minutes silence before yesterday’s Toolstation NCEL Premier League.....

By Parkgate FC

Respect for Tommy Grand, a staunch local Non-League fan and regular visitor to Green Lane

Parkgate FC and Bridlington Town FC held a minutes silence before yesterday’s Toolstation NCEL Premier League fixture as a mark of respect for Tommy Grand, a staunch local Non-League fan and regular visitor to Green Lane and to Maltby Main. Tommy died last week after a short illness and all at Parkgate would wish to pass on their condolences to Tommy’s family.

Also in our thoughts was Frank Catt, one of the original management board members of the League, and who served on the Board between 1982 and 2009, who passed away at the age of 97.
Frank became a Life Member nine years ago.

Both clubs also acknowledged the passing of June Willingham, a long serving member of Thackley AFC, who died earlier this week; and for David Fields, a former NCEL referee who sadly passed away whilst on duty with South Yorkshire Police on Christmas Day.

Our thoughts are with all the families at this time of great loss.
