Trowbridge 2 nds v Chippenham 3rds

Promoted Trowbridge were convincing winners.

Chippenham 3rds gather on a gorgeous sunny day to finally finish what has been a difficult season to say the least. Boosted by three late availabilities Mr Gingell,Treen & Matthews 17 players did battle. However the pattern of the game was soon taking shape as this well drilled side scored at will quickly 3 tries down. Chippenham had to defend all game, we did have parity at scrum and line out time. Chippenham turned down posts after a penalty but were not able to secure line out. But the half finished with Trowbridge on the ascendancy numbers and great attacking lines were taking their toll a further 3 tries. Chippenham had to just try and keep some possession in the second half. However yet again were unable to control the game, as Trowbridge scored at will. Chippenham used the bench with Graham Treen coming on for James Williams at loose head and Paul Matthews at centre for Bobby Clifford who was fatiguing. Trowbridge scored a brace of tries all well worked by this well coached side who would give our seconds a very good game next season.
