After a scrappy start to the game Barry Simpson opened the scoring for the Amateurs after a corner fell to him outside the box firing home with an unstoppable shot off the underside of the crossbar. Rangers got themselves back in the game when the visitors crossed in from the right flank for Neil Weir to nod home from inside the box. The Amateurs went ahead again when Keith Miskella put in a low shot past the Carniny keeper. Miskella turned provider when he crossed in from the left flank to find Matthew McComb who made no mistake in making it 3-1.
There were no further goals with the Amateurs running out winners.
