Club Development Update from our Chairman

By MATTHEW STEPHEN

A quick update from our Chairman on the next phase of the Cricket pitch, Floodlights and Pavilion development project.

Linden Homes and their contractor Tithegrove have started on the next phase of the cricket pitch development at Allington Fields. The work will continue until June with the installation of the following: -

  • A new cricket pavilion adjacent to the entry road
  • Associated nets facility
  • Completion of the floodlighting to pitch 3 and the new training pitch
  • Service trenches from the clubhouse to the new pavilion
  • Refurbishment and building of a new kitchen which will double the size of the existing facility

During the next few months the club and contractor will work closely together to ensure minimal disruption to the members, however the club would request that during this period of construction extra care is taken around the club and in particular adjacent to where work is going on.

This is an exciting time for Chippenham Rugby club and with these additional facilities being completed in early summer we can continue to aspire to our vision of being the top amateur rugby club in the South West.

If you do have any questions about the project, please do contact Ian Banister on chairman@chippenhamrfc.co.uk
