Old Brods under 12s travelled to Baildon for a double header with the hosts and Keighley.

In the first match they faced a strong Keighley side and endured a physical and ofter fractios encounter to force a 7-7 draw.Keighley had rthe best of the early exchanges but the Brods forwards were eventually able to get on top in the scrum, ofter driving the Keighley pack off thier own ball.Harris Morris put in a number of good kicks both to touch and behind the Keighley defence. But Keighley did well to drive the ball back upfield each time and ended the half on the attack,Brods defending stoutley for a nil nil half time score.
The second half began with Keighley on the attack. It was only good tackling by Jimmy Stega-Jones that kept them out.The pressure was relieved by a penalty kick to touch and Brods won a scrum from the resulting lineout.
Quick ball from the scrum via Sam Robinson enables Morris to find some space, regain his feet when half tackled and race through to score, his own conversion made it 7-0.
Keighley came back strongly forcing Brods to defend deep in thier own halfand, after a number of darts for the line, were stopped short.Keighley finally got over from short range and drew level with the conversion.
All the final pressure was Keighley who had the scent of victory. It was committed tackling from Tom Wildsmith and Morris that prevented them scoring again.
