By Shoreham FC

Oxford City & Basingstoke

Shoreham FC Academy enter in the clubs history books last Saturday by playing two youth academy teams in the Junior Premier National League.

Shoreham FC's newley launched and very successful academy entered two youth teams U16s and U14s into the Junior Premier National League.
Shoreham FC are the only club in Sussex to have teams in the National League which says somethign about the club ambition for youth football in the area. No other academy or even club in the area has this setup kind of set-up.

Our U14s and our U16s JPL teams played their first ever match this weekend. They played Oxford City and our U16s played Basingstoke FC both at home to a large crowd.

The U14s
Fraser Healey, Alan Pawelec, Alfie Beck, Thomas Adams, Lucas Munn, Herbie Evans, Max Prodger, Jude Craen, Thomas Bond, Lincoln Shearing, Cosmo Derangi, Liam Smart.

Our U14s played a very experienced Oxford team and with the Shoreham team down a goal keeper due to holidays, the players took turns in as goal keeper. The players did really well holding out to a 2-0 loss with only 8 minutes to go but eventually the experience of Oxford came through the game finished a 5-0 loss to Shoreham but the score did not reflect the actual performance. All the players should be proud of themselves.

U16s
(GK)Luca Paiano, (GK)Joeseph Southam, Fabian De Felice, Noah Lee, Luke Hendy, Luca Slaney, Marcus Puddephatt, Aaron Finney, George Fyffe, Llyod Hobden, Jack Gardner, Harry Prodger, Jamie Smith, Aiden Cagney,Alfie Loversidge.

The U16s put up an amazing first match in the JPL coming away with a 3-3 draw against a well organised and experienced Basingstoke side. Great goals coming from Llyod Hobden bagging 2 and George Fyffe getting the other.

Next game is U16s v Bromley FC this coming Saturday venue TBC
