with early injuries affecting the set piece and game plan inside 10 minutes, from then on the boys didn’t really have a great platform to attack from and struggled to gather any momentum going forward.
Erdington had a well experienced and seasoned side and really put our young side under pressure from minute 1 scoring very early on. After a few unfortunate bounces of the ball and a couple of small errors the boys found their selves a few scores behind and from then on it always seemed like an uphill task.
However inside the last 20 minutes the boys seemed to find their rhythm using the game plan that Coach Mulv has been drilling into them since pre season. We went over Erdington’s try line twice inside 10 minutes and really ramped up the pressure but it was to be to no avail.
There were a handful of positives to take from the game but as a squad we all know there’s lots of room for improvement. Next weekend sees us play at home for the first time this season and we are determined to train hard Thursday and improve our performance for the home spectators this coming weekend.
As always we will come back stronger.
