About the team

We are a team of cricket lovers based in Exeter, Devon.

Bakers Cricket Club was formed in 1999 by a group of friends who at the time worked in the bakery of the local Sainsburys in Exeter. Initially the fixture schedule consisted of just one game per year, but this soon increased to a whole summer of friendly matches against local teams.

We will always be grateful to Ide Cricket Club and in particular the Cloke family for making that first game happen. Thank you also to all the opposing clubs that we have played in particular the early years by giving us an opportunity to build our club and play at some of the most beautiful cricket grounds.

Our aim is to be involved in a close game of cricket being played in a honest, fair and friendly way................... and having a pint afterwards
