Pete Binnie former player sadly died on 11 January 2022, funeral to be held on Monday 28 February 2022.

It is with great sadness that we report great Beccehamian clubman and former player, Peter Binnie, sadly died on 11 January 2022.

Update from son Duncan:
"It is with deep regret that I announce the passing of Old Man Binns....who wandered off this mortal coil this morning....employing his world famous side-step in the process.
Please raise a glass in his honour.
I'll keep you informed of funeral details in the near future."

Funeral details update from Duncan 23/02/2022:
Peter Binnie funeral arrangements, Monday 28th February. First of all thanks for all your kind messages for Old Man Binns. He always took loads of time to get from the changing room to the bar after a match.....probably to avoid getting the first round in ! He has also taken ages to get to his own bloody funeral !

  • 2.15pm: ceremony at Saint James's church, 15 Saint James's avenue, Beckenham.
  • 3.30pm: Beckenham Crematorium, Elmers End Road
  • 4.15pm: Saint James's church for refreshments
  • From 6.00pm: beers at Beccs Members Bar .....and Young Man Binns (yours truly) will be one of the first out of the changing rooms to get the first round in, making up for the old fella !

No flowers please....Gwen has chose two charities: The British Heart Foundation & Police Orphans.
