We’ve also seen us have some exciting cup ties with three penalty shoot-out wins in a row, not good for the heart rate! What’s pleased me more than anything is the togetherness of players, fans and committee, a great effort from all that has given us such a great start on the playing side of things. We have also been involved in raising money for different causes and we thank everyone who has attended and donated.

Our youth set up remains solid with some fantastic results and our Under 15s remaining the pick of the bunch, remaining top of their division.

We now have two members on the BSGCA with myself rejoining and Andrew Sparrow going on as company secretary. We continue to discuss a new lease for Broadwater going forward and discussion remains amicable.

Away from football, the dart team has started well and is top at the half way stage and picked up the Bob Sear triples cup as well as yours truly winning the Bonzo cup. We are also looking at starting indoor Golf lessons from our venue, another unique venture.

A few more sponsors have come forward with new boards and match day sponsorship deals, so many thanks to them.

The most pleasing think for me is the increase in our gates which has seen many new faces, young and old. It’s created a great match-day atmosphere and for that I thank you all. I’m sure there will be many more twists and turns along the way and we look forward to more fantastic displays as the season goes on.
