We've appointed a new Reserves Team Manager for our Spartan South Midlands Division 2 side, Berkhamsted Comrades.

We've issued the following statement:

“The club are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Toms as the manager of Berkhamsted Comrades FC. Paul is the previous Head of Development at Berkhamsted FC and has a strong track record of management with a number of senior local clubs. Paul takes over with immediate effect, and will be supported by his back-room team which is detailed below”.

Chairman Steve Davis commented, “We’re delighted to have Paul back at the club, and welcome him and his team to Broadwater. We had a lot of interest in the job and landing such an experienced manager shows the great progress the club is making in senior football in Berkhamsted.”

Up the Comrades!”

Paul has issued the following personal statement regarding his appointment:

“First and foremost can I say how delighted to be back for my 3rd spell at Berkhamsted. With these crazy times almost at an end and 18 months away from football, this is the perfect job for me on all fronts at a fantastic forward moving footy club.

Personally from the challenge laid out to me by the committee, it was clear this is my biggest and most challenging role to date and that excites me, I believe with the club’s potential pathway for players and already highly laid foundations success will only happen.

I look forward to being heavily involved with the U18’s and also working to the 1st team manager’s every football need, combined with my own personal challenge of pushing the Comrades as high as I can! through using a mixture of high level coaching, players from higher levels using their experiences to push as many u18’s through as a unit, there’s nothing but excitement for me.

I will have a very strong backroom team of mixed experiences at all levels which I feel is vital for this role.
