It only seems 5 minutes since Joni started playing for us aged 9, and being selected for MetroGirls is a great achievement. It's great to see her blazing a trail for other Cheadle players.

Joni said: “I am really happy to have been selected and looking forward to training with the squad in the coming months and the USA tour itself! I will be playing six games of lacrosse, doing some sightseeing and cultural visits and, of course, spending time with my host family. I can’t wait!”

The tour is from Wednesday 20th July to August 4th.

Thanks to everyone involved over the past few years in getting the girls' section started and established as a real force. Without all the staff and coaches who put so much effort into making girls' lacrosse a reality at Cheadle Joni's lacrosse talents would be untapped.
