It was indeed a Super Saturday for the Allington Cricket Club, as the 1s clinched back to back promotions whilst the 2s romped to victory, ensuring they avoided relegation on the final day of the season.

After being asked to bat, the Allington 1s were made to work hard for their runs on what was a sluggish pitch, but thanks to a gritty Sam Dix fifty, a challenging target was posted of 252 for 9 from the 45 overs. In response, Keevil found it tough and it was a day for the tweakers as all 10 wickets fell to the off spin trio of Jack Smith, Will Thompsett and Paul Clifford. Allington won by 95 runs in front of a record crowd and secured promotion to Division 4.
Note - Allington 1's have only lost 3 games in the past 2 seasons!!
