It is with great sadness that we inform members of the passing of Andy Thatcher.
Andy was the clubs first full-time Club Steward when the club transitioned from Birch Grove to Allington Fields in 1991 with the official opening of the clubhouse in 1992.
Andy along with his wife Cath ran the clubhouse, bar and kitchen facility until they left in 1999.
During their time they organised many club events which were always well attended by the members.
They also organised out of season Biker and Caravan Club weekends.
In recent years Andy’s son Richard also worked at the club, helping run the bar and the kitchen.
The club would like to offer our sincerest condolences to Andy’s family and friends.
We will notify members of the funeral arrangements once known.
