As you are aware, many of our pitches and training areas are in a poor condition due to heavy use throughout the season as well as the legacy impact of the long, dry summer last year.
The club has authorised our grounds contractor, Ecosolve, to carry out a programme of maintenance and repair work including irrigation, re seeding and de weeding to help the pitches/training areas recover over the summer.
Ecosolve have advised that the wet conditions last week and warmer conditions forecast have provided ideal conditions to carry out this work and this was completed yesterday.
As a result, with immediate effect, please do not use pitch 2, 3 or any of the floodlit training areas until further notice. These areas have had a weedkiller treatment applied and so this needs to be allowed to work without disturbance.
Pitch one (in front of clubhouse) has remained untreated and so can be used as normal until the AGP project begins. The Archery field also remains untreated.
The costs involved in the summer maintenance programme are significant and so we wish to make sure that the treatments applied have the greatest chance of success.
Please can you pass this message on to any groups that you know are likely to use the treated areas and ask them to use pitch one or the Archery field only until further notice.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best wishes,
Ceri
