Chippenham RFC is delighted to announce that, with all votes now counted, the coveted CRFC ‘Club person of the year’ award has this year been won jointly by our Volunteer Co-ordinators, Andy and Caz Spyer.

The ‘Club person of the year’ award is an award which recognises those individuals who make a truly outstanding contribution to the club. Both Caz and Andy richly deserve this award for their incredible work as our volunteer coordinators as well as their support and assistance with numerous other projects to help the club.

Andy and Caz have reinvigorated our volunteer network through their organisation and enthusiasm culminating in an astonishing 90 volunteers helping the club during the recent Nat West Rugby Force weekend. Their achievements have also led to Andy and Caz winning a Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer Recognition Scheme (MMVRS) award which recognises individuals who make a significant contribution to their local rugby club and wider community through voluntary work.

A formal presentation of the ‘Club person of the year’ award will be made when the club is able to reopen our facilities. In the meantime, please join me in congratulating Andy and Caz for this well-deserved accolade.
