Club members walk over 22 million steps to raise funds to aid motor neurone disease

On 1 March, 50 members of the Club started their fundraising efforts for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation by walking from Egham, Surrey, to the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, where the first Official Lions Rugby test against Springboks will take place on 24 July.

Some 30 days later, not only did they make it to the stadium, they made it halfway home again too, raising an incredible £1,550 along the way!

Collectively they walked over 22 million steps, covering a distance of 17,912km.

The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation is committed to raising funds to aid motor neurone disease research and help find a cure.

This is a cause particularly close to our hearts following the passing of our President’s nephew who lived with MND.
