G&T's is an established netball club based in Northampton. We have been playing netball together now for 10 years, and were set up originally for women looking to get back into sport after having their children.
We now train on a weekly basis at Weston Favell Academy play competitive matches throughout the year in the Daventry League.
Experienced netballers are always welcome to attend our training sessions that run on Tuesday evenings 7.30-9 at Weston Favell Academy. However, we would ask new members to email us first to let us know you're thinking of coming, so that we can manage our numbers.
Our training Sessions comprise of fitness, and improving our netball skills through a mixture of drills and game play.
Training is delivered to meet the needs of the majority but we try to do a little bit of everything... from fitness and circuit training, basic skills, tactics and game play. Sometimes we do something completely different with running sessions round Abington Park, or the occasional Zumba session.
At each training session priority may need to be given to the league team to allow them to practise together when they have a match on Sunday. Depending on numbers at training this may mean new members have less time playing games at the end of the sessions. Most new members use this time to watch the game, ask questions and brush up on the rules... its also a good time to get to know people.
We ask that members arrive no later than 7.25pm so that we can make a prompt start as soon as the hall is free.
