About Us & Joining Hambrook C.C.

Cricket at Hambrook is available to both boys and girls from 5 through to 17.
We play on arguably one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the Bristol area and offer great ground and clubhouse facilities.

Starting with the Under 7's and Under 9's Kwik Cricket - we train on a Sunday morning from late April through to when the schools break up for the summer holidays in late July.
The Kwik Cricket serves as an excellent introduction to cricket with the use of a softball.
The squads play friendly matches against other local clubs and in locally arranged festivals and tournaments.

The Under 7's was a new venture for us in 2012 and has gradually grown in the past two years.

The Under 11, 13, 15 & 17 teams play competitive hardball cricket in the Bristol Youth Cricket League as well as friendly matches against other local clubs.
Training for these age groups will commence indoors in the new year - this will move to outdoors at the club on Friday evenings (6.30 - 8.00pm) in
April.

We have a very good complement of ECB qualified coaches who are CRB checked and trained in first aid.
Indeed all youth officers and senior members who work with the youth players are CRB checked.

Hambrook CC also run a fast track Cricket Academy for youth and younger senior players.

Within our senior section we have three Saturday and one Sunday teams all playing competitive league cricket - Our three Saturday teams all play in the Bristol & District Cricket League (Divisions 1, 6 & 9).
Our Sunday team will again play in the Village League in 2015 - this will continue to offer greater opportunity for Youth members to experience a longer version of the game.

We have an excellent club house that has a fully licenced bar, skittle alley and an upstairs function room. The function is available to hire to members at very preferential rates.

New members are always welcome of all ages and abilities - please contact Martin Dyer via the contact form link on the home page.
