Prior to their Pyman Cup Semi-final at The Old Friarage, B.B.O.B and West Stags observed a tribute to former Brigade player Graham Chapman, who passed away recently.
Despite belonging 'over the Crimdon border' Graham's workmates and friends lured him to the Headland club were he enjoyed 72 appearances in the front row, befitting his natural physical stature. Moreover and unlike the general style of those 'front row fellows' who remain restricted to a bit of head butting and other illegal tactics, Graham possessed considerable kicking and ball handling skills to the benefit of his teams effort.
Graham took part in the many social activities at Brigade; Christmas Dinner Dances, Party Nights and Rugby Tours and several recollections from fellow team-mates reveal his keen sense of humor and just how much he respected and appreciated the value of his many friends.
Following his rugby days Graham went on to pursue his passion for golf with the Hartlepool Club where he served as Captain and fulfilled several administrative roles.
Graham was a welcome visitor on match days to the Old Friarage over the succeeding years and his continued interest in the fortunes of B.B.O.B. is greatly appreciated.
