Haslemere Town Youth Football Club is also committed to a policy of equal
treatment of all members, the policy requires all members to abide and adhere to
these policies and the requirements of the relevant equalities legislation – Race
Relations Act 1976, sexual Discrimination Act 1975 and the Disability Discrimination
Act 1995. This policy shall automatically adopt any amendment(s) made to these
Acts and any new legislation passed.

Commitment to the immediate investigation of any claims is made by Haslemere
Town Youth Football Club, where it is brought to the attention, of discrimination on
the above grounds and where such is found to be the case is found to be the case.
There shall be a requirement that the practice stop and sanctions imposed as
appropriate.

In the event that any member of the football club feels that he or she has suffered
discrimination in any way, or that the Club Policies, Rules or Code of Conduct have
been broken, they should follow the procedures below;

1. They should report the matter to the Club Secretary in writing detailing:

  • Details of what, when and where the event took place
  • Any witness statements and names etc
  • Names if any other who have been treated in a similar way
  • Details of any former complaints made about the incident, date and to whom
  • A preference for a solution to the incident

2. The Executive Committee shall convene for any hearings that are requested

3. The Executive Committee shall have the power to:

  • Warn as to future conduct
  • Suspend from membership
  • Remove from membership any person found to have broken the Clubs
  • Policies or Codes of Conduct

If the complaint is with regard to the Clubs Executive Committee, the member has the
right to report the discrimination directly to the North Riding County Football
Association.

The Equality Policy of Haslemere Town Youth Football Club is of paramount
importance and shall be upheld and monitored with respect and value.
