Club Cameraman/Videographer:
Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club is keen to improve our online presence in regards to video highlights of our matches and video interviews of our management team and players. Our ground at Vauxhall Road is equipped with a professional standard TV gantry.

The Videographer is trusted with full editorial control over the layout and content of the footage; the club is keen to have a videographer who puts his own initiative and ideas in to video highlights prog but can also apply some flexibility in meeting the clubs commitments and obligations. Duties include: Videoing our home games (approx. 25 games over a season, usually played Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings); providing our Management team with a DVD of the entire game within 48hrs; producing video highlights of each game to be published online; liaising with the club Press Officer post-match and videoing his interviews with management/players (when applicable); using the club website/social media to promote our video highlights and interviews; where possible, assisting our Website Editor with general editing duties. There is also the opportunity to video our away games, however this depends on the availability of our Videographer and also depends on the hosts own policies regarding visiting cameramen; you would have to liaise with our own Club Secretary on a game by game basis to ascertain the policies of our opponents.

Previous camera work and video editing experience is preferred but not essential, however an effective understanding of videoing sports footage in varying conditions and at least basic understanding of video editing software are obviously essential. Ultimately the Videographer needs to be committed to fulfilling his/her duties for the entirety of a season and this is an excellent opportunity for someone who may be aiming to develop their videoing/editing/journalism skills who also has a keen interest in local football. The Videographer will require his/her own video camera and computer; the club will consider reimbursing the costs of any required software on a return of investment basis.
