Holyhead Town, The Harbourmen, were once among the most formidable teams along the North Wales Coast lifting the old Welsh League (North) title four times in the 50's - 60's and were the first Anglesey team ever to reach the Welsh Cup quarter-finals in 1960-61.
The Harbour Men returned to football in 2016-17 and won the Anglesey League and Gwynedd League titles back-to-back. After, two seasons in the Welsh Alliance Division 2 Holyhead Town embarked on a full restructure of the first team.
Looking forward, Holyhead Town FC are fully committed to restoring the club back to their glory. Mark Owen and David Jones have been tasked with taking the club forward into the 2021/2022 Season. Following the restructuring of Welsh football Holyhead Town will be playing in the NWCFA Tier 5 for the coming season.
Following the Covid-19 break, the 2021/22 season finally happened. Although, the season saw a change in management after 3 games into the season, after Mark Owen decided to step down. Mark was replaced by former Manager Craig Brodie and was assisted by Carl Taylor and coach David Jones. The club found this became a transition season with players coming and going with the management struggling for consistency within the squad. The second half of the season saw cause for optimism with some very positive results.
Moving in to the 2022/23 the club have resigned the management and a core of the playing staff with new additions inbound during pre-season. The club are looking forward to the new season and believe we are in a much better position to challenge the at the top half of the table.
