Houghton CWCC fielded 3 junior teams during our time in the Durham Coast League between 1990 and 2006. The club during this time had a wealth of talent coming through the ranks, some today still play for Houghton. This period of cricket at Houghton yielded 5 league titles and 2 league cup for the junior boars as well as other external cup triumpths over the years. Initially run by the quartet of Billy Reddel, Keith Stoker, Les Welch and Geordie Elliott the baton had been passed on the some familiar names of Jonty Grant, Ian Hauxwell to mention but a few.
