A determined squad dug deep to finish victors at the Stratford Mini Rugby Tournament

The Rhinos squad celebrated their first festival win on Sunday as they stormed to victory at the Stratford festival.
On a scorching hot day, the boys took on Bromsgrove B team and Stratford B team in the first round, getting off to a slow start with a 3-3 draw against Bromsgrove (with tries from Matt Moseley, Dan Washington and Seth Dockery) followed by a 6-3 win over Stratford (3 tries from Seth Dockery, 2 from Toby Hill and 1 from Matt Moseley).

But in the next round the team found their feet with an excellent show of teamwork to win 5-1 against Stratford A team, with 2 tries from Matt Moseley, and 1 each from Dan Washington, Henry Ball and Seth Dockery).
They then took on Bromsgrove A team and again won, this time 4-2 with tries from Matt Moseley, Dan Washington, Toby Hill and Toby Mansell). The victory meant a place in the final against Bromsgrove A team.

In the gripping and closely fought final, the teams were tied at 1-1 at half time.
However, a hungry and very determined Kings Norton team dug deep to score two more tries and leave the score 3-2 to the Rhinos with tries from Matt Moseley, Dan Washington and Toby Hill.

Coach Steve Washington said: "These boys have gone from strength to strength as the season has progressed and have come so very close to winning a festival in the past.
"But today was their day, and this was a thoroughly deserved win from a team who showed just what hard work, grit and determination can achieve.
"Both Andy and I are hugely proud of them all."
